While we all love a good Independence Day celebration, the booming noises of fireworks are incredibly scary for our shelter pets.

For the next week, we’ll work hard to get our dogs and cats out of the shelter and into homes before the big night. Whether you want to host a temporary holiday slumber party or give a pet their ultimate “Independence Day” through adoption, you’re invited!

Here is how you can RSVP to the pawty:

Pick Your Sleepover Length (Foster)

Not ready to adopt, but want to be a hero? Pick the foster timeline that works best for your schedule:

  • The Holiday Sleepover (Shortest Stay)

    • The Commitment: Pick up your shelter guest by Wednesday, July 3rd, and keep them safe and cozy until at least Monday, July 6th.

    • The Goal: Keep them safe, calm, and indoors during the worst of the firework noise.

  • The Medium-Term Foster

    • The Commitment: Open your home to a pet for 2 to 3 weeks.

    • The Goal: Give them a much-needed break from shelter life while helping us learn more about their personality in a home setting.

  • The Full-Term Foster

    • The Commitment: Foster until adoption. You foster the pet until they find their adoptive home!

    • The Goal: Provide a stable, loving environment and help us advocate for their adoption.

Ready to skip the sleepover and make it official? To celebrate America’s 250th birthday and clear our kennels before the fireworks start, we are offering $25 adoption fees for dogs and cats!
