Yulan Magnolia Flowers Look Like Beautiful Birds
We all love a good trick of the eye – just think the great debate over the gold or blue dress a few years ago. But there is one optical illusion that has been brought to us courtesy of Mother Nature. And it’s pretty cool! These particular flowers also happen to look very similar to birds. The flowers are those of the Yulan magnolias, a species that is native to China. The beautiful and fragile pink flower has a citrus scent, as well as a very long history. These flowers date back many, many years – having been raised for...
Family Of Bears Caught Having A Blast Playing In A Pool
There is something so human-like about bears, and one series of pictures perfectly captures this as three bears play around in a pool. The bears were having fun playing around in the water, completely unaware that there was a wildlife camera busy capturing fifty-two photos. The images were from the HRCA Backcountry Wilderness Area, where why were uploaded to Facebook by HRCA Backcountry Wilderness. As they wrote in their post, the water source is also enjoyed by plenty of other wild animals such as raccoons or falcons. Based on the multitude...
Persian Cats Dress Up As Postal Workers For Halloween
When I was a kid I tried to dress my cats up in Halloween costumes. They were not happy about it at all. The Halloween costumes that I tried to stick them into weren’t even that elaborate – it was just little tartan vests. They quite literally fought me tooth and nail to not wear their costumes. Of course, there are some cats that actually don’t mind dressing up for Halloween. And a pair of Persian cats in England have gone all out with their Halloween costumes. The two cute kitties, Eric and Ollie, wore matching costumes...
Family Gets Woken Up By A Family Of Bears Throwing A Pool Party In Their Back Yard
In a real-life twist, a South Lake Tahoe family experienced a Goldilocks moment when a family of bears stopped by their pool late at night. The California-based family were awakened late at night by their unexpected guests arriving in their home’s backyard. They had a little pool party of their own, jumping into the pool and splashing around. They even got bold and picked up one of the floating balls to have a little bit of extra fun. The homeowners could only do one thing: record the bear’s pool party on video. Photo: YouTube /...

What she believed to be a dead dog on the side of the road had caught her attention and made her want to find the owner. Not knowing what else to do, she posted a plea on social media, asking for help to find the owner of the Dalmatian she believed had been run over by a car. While her intention was well-meaning, after she posted it on her social media, it soon came out that she’d made a huge mistake. What she had seen as a “dead” dog was...

Biscuit is the...
Family Shocked When Giant Robber Crabs Invade Their BBQ
While most people might encounter ants on a family picnic, visitors on Christmas Island, 1500 km west of the Australian mainland, will come across robber crabs – also known as coconut crabs. They are the largest land-living arthropod in the world, weighing up to 9 pounds, so their size alone is impressive. But apparently they also have an incredible sense of smell. A man who used to visit the island as a child said, “They are nicknamed ‘robber crabs’ because they will descend in the dark of night and rob campers of...
