As War Erupts In Ukraine, Heroes Embark On Urgent Mission To Save Rescued Circus Bear
Masha is a Eurasian bear who spent 19 years in the circus, where she was forced to perform and spent the rest of her time trapped in a tiny cage. These Clever Octopuses Find A Way To Repurpose Trash In The Sea
There is no doubt that octopuses are clever. They are well armed when it comes to survival in the wild and have been proven, by multiple studies, to be extremely intelligent. PHOTO: Unsplash/Qijin Xu In a recent study published in the Marine Pollution Bulletin, researchers used crowdsourced, underwater images to analyze how octopuses use the litter they find on the seabed. They documented how octopuses,...
Ukrainian Police Officer Rescues Dog Found In Destroyed Car
Ukrainian forces have regained control of Bucha, a city near Kyiv, that was captured by Russian forces on March 12. Many civilians lost their lives as well as countless animals. However, a story of hope was shared by animal rights organization, UAnimals, on Facebook. Kiev police officer, Alexei Sidorenkov, was patrolling the area around the city and inspecting all the abandoned and bombed vehicles on the side of the road. Houseplants That Are Safe For Pets
It’s nice to have a place where humans, animals, and plants live together — keeping in touch with nature even while residing in an urban area. Both plants and animals deserve a great environment to grow and be nurtured. However, not all plants are suitable indoors when you have a pet, and several houseplants can be toxic to your fur babies. Photo: PxHere Dogs and cats tend to be curious about everything they see — especially what’s within their reach. According to an article from Actions 4 Dogs, curiosity indicates...

To ensure you avoid crossing paths with bears and to keep unnecessary conflict at bay, there are some things you can do. Dog Blinded Through Suspected Dogfighting Yearns For Cuddle Buddy & Loving Home
Last November, 108 dogs were rescued from the largest suspected dogfighting operation in Michigan and among them was a blind dog chained outside with only a broken-down doghouse for shelter. Bark Nation, an animal welfare organization based in Detroit with a mission to end dogfighting and save lives, rescued all the dogs with the help of federal and state law enforcement. The dogs were examined by a veterinarian who determined the sweet boy, who was clearly blind, most likely lost his eyesight due to trauma endured in dogfighting. Photo: Bark...
