Cat Gives Birth In Duck Den Beside A Hen And Her Eggs
A family came home and was surprised to find their cat had given birth to kittens in a chicken coop alongside a nesting hen and a duck! While cats are natural predators of birds, it seems this mama cat had other things on her mind. The Wild Seven Homestead, a “larger-than-average sized family” building an off-grid wilderness homestead, shared about the touching moment on Facebook. They said, “We came home from the state park today, to find our cat decided that the duck den was the safest place to have her babies, right along...
Golden Retrievers Rescued From Meat Markets Have Been Adopted
20 golden retrievers recently found loving forever homes after being rescued from meat markets last year. Golden Rescue South Florida has been working to help golden retrievers in need find homes, and they’ve successfully adopted out over 2,000 dogs. However, they usually work exclusively with dogs in their local area of South Florida. When a plea came in to help 20 golden retrievers from outside of South Florida who were taken from meat markets, they couldn’t resist and agreed to help. In December of 2020, they shared on Twitter...
Man Builds A Floating Nest To Rescue Swan From Rising Waters
Rob Adamson lives in St Ives, England. He also happens to work at the Jones Boatyard, where he has grown accustomed to watching the swans in the area. Sadly, many of these swans are “unlucky” when it comes to parenthood. For many of the birds, they’ve lost their nests over the years to various threats such as foxes and floodwaters. Feeling sorry for the birds, when the Great Ouse began to flood, Adamson decided that he wasn’t going to let another year go by without doing his best to intervene. Photo: flickr/Peter...
Lost Cat Accompanies Hikers On A 10,000-Foot Swiss Mountain Hike
Life can be difficult when you are lost, but when you are a cat lost on a mountain in Switzerland, it is impossibly difficult. Unfortunately, that is what happened to a cat who got lost on Mt. Britsen in Switzerland. It was difficult, but it ended well when she was reunited with her owners, thanks to some kind hikers. Cyril and Erik Rohrer went to Mount Britsen in Switzerland for the trip of a lifetime. They were climbing the mountain, but before they reached the summit at 10,000 feet, they were joined by a lost feline. Photo: YouTube/SWNS...
Dog Is Rescued From 115 Degree Car After Police Officers Break Window
It doesn’t matter how many times we are told that pets should not be left in a locked car, there are going to be those who choose to ignore it. Perhaps they don’t believe that it’s true or maybe they just think that they are going to be back before any harm is done. On occasion, we hear stories about dogs that die in a parked car, helping to further emphasize the need to care for them properly. Fortunately, that wasn’t the case in this story but it very well could have been. It happened in Sarasota when police...
Dog Adopts A Gosling With Her Litter Of Puppies
There is nothing quite as adorable as watching a dog with a litter of puppies. That is, of course, unless you happen to be a dog living on a farm that also brings a gosling into the fold. This is actually something that happened, and we have the opportunity to see it, thanks to Meaghan Madison. Photo: flickr/Llima Orosa She lives on a farm and talks about raising cattle with her followers on TikTok. Madison also loves her blue heeler, which she says is her “best friend.” Recently, Madison uploaded a video on TikTok that showed her...
Dog That Lost Her Snout While Saving Two Girls Dies In Her Sleep At 13
We all know that dogs are capable of some amazing things, but sometimes they get the opportunity to prove it in a great way. That was the case with Kabang, who saved two girls from being hit by a motorcycle. It took place back in 2012 in the Philippines, and we are sad to report that Kabang has now died. The announcement came from the dog’s veterinarian, Dr. Anton Lim, who said that Kabang died peacefully in her sleep. Her owner passed away in 2015, and the veterinarian has been caring for her ever since. Photo: Facebook/Anton Mari H....
Man Builds A $5,000 Home For His Dog With A Fireplace And A TV
Let’s face it, dogs are awesome, and when we have one as part of our family, we do what we can to make them happy and comfortable. Every so often, however, we hear about somebody who takes things to the next level and that is the case with Jonathan Lower. Jonathan is a doggy daddy to his golden retriever, Teddy. He is also a TikTok user, known as @thehomeprojectguy. He decided to take on a unique project recently, spending more than $5000 to create the best doghouse for his furry best friend. Man Goes To Jail Instead Of Giving Up His Dog
We all say that we would go to the ends of the earth for our furry companion, but Barry Myrick had the opportunity to put it to a test. Myrick was a pest-control professional with M&M Environmental in Queens. Roxy, his dog, is a pit bull that sniffs out bedbugs. Although that is the case, he considers her to be his “best friend,” in addition to his work companion. How far was Myrick willing to go in order to show his devotion to his dog? Perhaps further than most people, because he has Roxy tattooed on his leg. Photo: Pixabay...
Dogs Get So Excited Returning To Daycare For The First Time Since Lockdown
The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted public life to a degree that we have never seen before. Of course, while we were going through it, our four-legged friends were also going through major changes. While many pets were excited to spend more time at home with their owners, some were also missing their doggy friends, like the ones they had at doggy daycare. Some dogs in New Zealand were finally able to head back to doggy daycare and their reactions are so precious. Photo: Pixabay When Laken Richardson with Two Brown Dogs Doggy Daycare placed a...
