Adorable Dog Attempts To Do Yoga Between Two Couches
The pandemic has caused many of us to neglect our exercise routines. When you never seem to have anywhere to go, it can be hard to summon the effort needed to stay in shape. This is a struggle that we know all too well, as many of us struggle to shed “the COVID 19” pounds before summer. Bruiser the dog is going through it right now and our heart goes out to him. Now that summer is rolling around, we would all like to get back to being in the best shape of our lives. Bruiser is no different in this regard, despite being a dog, but...
Dog With Only Two Legs Teaches Students About Acceptance
Dogs are such resilient creatures. Even when they’re down, they’re never down long. They’ve got an impenetrable optimism that is infectious, and one such pup is doing wonders for young students by helping them to grow in their acceptance and kindness. This sweet dog, a miniature Australian shepherd named Tobi, is quite the example of resilience. The five-year-old dog has only two legs. His owner, Paige Bradford, works as a special education teacher in Alexandria, Virginia. Photo: Pexels According to ABC 7, she will often...
Toddler Convinces Mom To Let Her Adopt A Deaf Puppy
Moz is one lucky pup. The small and deaf pup first came into Thom Hawk’s care as a little foster puppy. He was skinny, didn’t have any hair, and was generally a “weird-looking stray,” as Hawk recalled. Regardless of his appearance, Hawk, as well as his three foster dogs, welcomed Moz into the mix and began to care for him. Photo: Facebook/The Dodo This meant that Moz soon began to accompany Hawk and the other dogs on their walks around the neighborhood. During these excursions, the group would often pass by a home that...
50 Dogs Rescued From Abandoned Slaughterhouse By Korean Animal Rescue Organizations
A dog meat farm in Yongin city was recently shut down by authorities. However, the farm was then abandoned, along with the 50 dogs that remained in cages. The pups were scheduled to be euthanized due to their sickly state, but thankfully Korean animal protection groups stepped in and rescued all 50 dogs. Photo: Facebook/Humane Society International Authorities were quick to shut down the dog farm once it was apparent that it was operating in breach of the national Animal Protection Act, which is a Korean legislation created to protect the...
Spoiled Chihuahua Mix Will Only Eat If He Is Hand-Fed
Chihuahuas are known for their larger than life personalities and close bonds with humans. They also are said to “rule the roost” and can become demanding. Rigby is no exception. The nine-year-old Chihuahua mix is going viral for refusing to eat unless he is hand-fed. Mealtime for dogs usually involves a bowl and dog food, but Rigby requires a bit more from his humans. Some dogs devour their food so fast that they need puzzle bowls to slow them down, but not this little guy. Screenshot: YouTube/ Rumble Viral Rigby prefers his...
The FDA Is Struggling To Enact Long Proposed Pet Food Standard Improvements
Do you ever have second thoughts when feeding your pet? Pet food contamination has long been a source of worry for pet owners and health officials. Reports of salmonella contamination are frequent, and threaten not only animals eating the food but also the owners handling it. Nutritional deficiencies and toxins have been found in pet foods as well — including melamine, which has led to multiple pet deaths. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulates the manufacture of cat food, dog food, and dog treats or snacks you have in...
Dog Thrown From Motel Balcony Adopted By Disabled Marine Veteran
A German shepherd survived being thrown from a second-floor motel balcony in Daytona Beach, Florida, and finally got the happy ending she deserves. Officers arrived at the Motel 6 after a woman threatened to jump, but when help appeared she emerged from her hotel room with her dog. She shocked rescuers when she picked up the dog and threw her off the balcony. Allison Murphy was arrested and the dog was taken in by Volusia County Animal Services. 14-Year-Old Is On A Mission To Help Shelter Dogs With Bow Ties
When most of us think about people who help dogs in need, our thoughts automatically go to large animal rescue organizations. Although that may be true in many cases, there are plenty of individuals who do their part. That includes a 14-year-old entrepreneur who founded Beaux & Paws. Sir Darius Brown is the young man who got that business off the ground and it is in a very unusual niche. He creates and sells bow ties for dogs, but he does much more than what appears above the surface. Along with selling the bow ties on his website, he...
This Website Makes Pictures Of Cats That Aren’t Real
Technology has taught us many things but I think one of the most profound truths that have been uncovered in the past few decades is just how much people love cats. Of course, we always knew that was the case but having the raw data of just how many people would look at cat pictures and videos really opened our eyes to how pervasive it is. Social media is full of cat pictures and some websites are created just to give us our daily fix of felines. Some of them might even put a unique twist on the subject, including this unique website that has...
Dog Is Rescued After Being Found Living In The Garbage
I think that most of us would agree that every dog deserves a home but not everybody feels that way. Unfortunately, there are some dogs that are mistreated and perhaps even abandoned. This was recently seen in Greece when a stray dog was found hiding in the garbage. Dogs are abandoned far too often and, at times, the outcome isn’t positive. Thanks to DAR Animal Rescue, however, this pooch got a second chance and is now living a better life.
