Tiny Dog Destroys Everything That Comes Through The Mail Slot
Man’s best friend. That is what we call our dogs. And for the most part, they are the perfect companion. They are always willing to give us comfort when we’re sad. They know just how to bring smiles to our faces. They are the best cuddle buddies around. Our dogs actually listen to us and seem to live to make us happy. There is no happier dog than a dog that has made its owner proud. But perhaps one of the sweetest things about dogs is their protective nature. Big or small, every dog wants to protect its owner. But there is one...
Daring Hamster Makes An Escape From A Cardboard Obstacle Maze
In my opinion, hamsters are quite underrated as pets. Even though they’re small and their lifespans are pretty short, they actually make great little companions. As tiny as they are, they really pack a punch in terms of personality. They might be small, but they certainly can be sassy. And one very feisty little hamster named Mister Hamster proved himself to be quite the Houdini after becoming “trapped” inside a little hamster jail. While in his cardboard prison, the teeny rodent was slowly plotting his escape. It turned out...
Snow Fox With Amputated Paw Experiences Snow For First Time After Being Rescued From Fur-Farm
This story originally appeared at Shareably. This is the story of a brave snow fox who captured the hearts of many with his tale of valor. Maciek is the name of a polar fox that was rescued by a home sanctuary from a fur farm. The fox, unfortunately, lost his paw in a tragedy involving his ex-master and has since been trying to recover his strength slowly and surely. The journey gets tough and it’s never easy to get over the hump, but this little fella was able to get it just as the light seemed to fade away. Source:...
Best Hero Dog Times Two!
One day, I stepped out of the house barefoot and immediately heard it: The deadly buzz of an angry rattler. Instantly, I froze. Desperately I scanned our yard to see where the intruder was located but the yard was empty. The unmistakable sound increased. PHOTO: PEXELS As I started to move, Reba snapped at my ankle and I saw the snake bite her twice on the face as I leapt back to the safety of the house. We rushed her to the emergency vet. Antivenom cost $600 a dose and she needed three or more. There was no way I could afford over $2,000....
From Dog Food To Sarajevo
While buying cat food at Petco the first Saturday in December 2011, a family came in with a pathetic looking kitten. The little girl was crying and the boy just looked down at his feet while the parents spoke to the rescue group. I could tell the woman running the rescue was very angry while the kitten looked over her shoulder and I swear, every time I looked up she gave me the “silent meow”. PHOTO: SUSAN ANDERSN After I finished checking out, I went back into the store. By that time the family had left and I asked what the story...
Shelter Dogs Pick Their Own Christmas Present From Room Full Of Donated Toys
Christmas has come early for shelter dogs at Dogs Trust Ireland. Thanks to generous donations, the shelter was able to give each dog in their care a new toy for Christmas. But instead of choosing one for each dog, they lined them up in a room and allowed each dog to pick their own. As you can imagine, the dogs went wild when they entered the room and immediately started to sniff each toy. Their tails never stopped wagging and many started to race around the room with excitement. Screenshot: Facebook/Dogs Trust Ireland Thankfully, the staff...
Selfless Volunteer Create Charity to Help Neighborhood Dogs
Often times, we see injustices and people or animals in need, and we’re not sure how to help. We know we want to make a difference, but it can be a daunting task to tackle. Jennifer Gallagher thought the same thing, and that’s when she founded Chick n’ Pups Canine Crusade. Gallagher worked for three years as the director of the Bullock County Animal Shelter. She loved volunteering and helping animals in need. However, when she retired and thought her animal care days were behind her, she noticed that her own neighborhood...
GreaterGood Has Donated More Than 2 Million Masks to Frontline Workers and Others in Need
As the world grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic, GreaterGood has been working hard to do its part to bring masks and other personal protective equipment to frontline workers and essential employees in the U.S. and across the globe. Our original goal was to donate one million masks to those who need them most. Not only did we meet and surpass that goal within a few short months, but now we’ve also reached our follow-up goal to donate two million masks, with over one million of those masks going to healthcare workers. “A year ago,...

Corgi Adopts 4 Orphaned Labrador Puppies After Giving Birth To A Litter Of Her Own
Two-year-old Corgi Angela was pregnant when she arrived at Lone Star Dog Ranch & Dog Ranch Rescue. A few weeks after giving birth to five puppies, she became a mother to four more. A quartet of Labrador puppies were orphaned when their mother, named Autumn Dove, died after giving birth. This would have ordinarily put pressure on rescue staff to care for the young puppies until they could be weaned. “We thought we were going to be bottle feeding around the clock,” Renee Eden from Dog Ranch Rescue told Fox 4.
