Hidden Camera Catches Street Sweeper Showing Love To A Stray Dog
Perhaps the greatest lesson that my parents taught me was to always do good for others because it’s what I should want to do, not because it’ll gain me recognition. It was also instilled in me that kindness can take many forms and even the smallest of kind gestures can make a difference in someone’s life. These are sentiments that are often echoed throughout the human experience, as oftentimes the kindness that we witness in our world consist of the little everyday things that people do for others when they think no one is...
Owner Shows Timid Rescue Dog How To Jump Into The Truck
Dogs can sometimes be very sensitive animals. And one adorable little pup was a bit shy when it came to getting in a car. In fact, he was so sensitive that he ended up needing the help of his owner to overcome his fear of getting up into the truck. Weston Mackey is the proud owner of Dudeson, the adorable pooch he rescued from Paw Works in California. Dudeson proved himself to be quite a genuinely calm and relaxed dog, except for when it came time to get up into Weston’s truck. That is when the little pup would freeze and be unable to...
Shiba Inu Takes A Cozy Nap In A ‘Bag Of Potato Chips’ Bed
We love to spoil our pets. I’ve often joked that in my next life, I’m determined to come back as a cat or dog in someone’s home. They really live the life of luxury. We feed them all kinds of yummy goodies as well as spoil them rotten with plenty of toys. But perhaps one of the most enviable things about our pets is the amount of time that they get to dedicate to sleep. They truly have it made and will often enjoy long naps inside warm and fuzzy beds....

San Antonio Bans Sale Of Puppy Mill Puppies And Kittens At Pet Stores
A long battle has just been won in San Antonio, Texas – and the victors are dogs and cats. As of January 1, 2021, all pet stores in the city will only be able to offer dogs and cats from local rescues and shelters for adoption. A recent vote by nine city council members passed the ordinance that bans the sale of commercially bred, aka puppy mill, puppies and kittens in pet stores. Dogs at puppy mill farms are overbred, underfed, and kept in unsanitary conditions, which often leads to sick puppies. The needs of the puppies and their...
Starving Orphaned Cougar Decides To ‘Check Himself Into’ An Animal Rehab Facility
Volunteers at the Center Valley Animal Rescue in Washington state had an unexpected visitor recently. That center was founded by Sarah Penhallegon in 2002, near the Olympic Mountains. Many different abandoned animals have been saved by the rescue since the time it was founded, but nobody expected an animal to rescue itself. It happened when a cougar cub that was orphaned and needed care found its way to the rescue. She came to the Penhallegon animal rehabilitation center and curled up in a pen. According to KIRO7, Penhallegon said that it is...
